Microsoft to add 33 more markets to Windows Store during next release

When Microsoft released the Windows Store along with the release of Windows 8 consumer preview, the Windows app submission for developers was only limited for 5 countries namely France, Germany, India, Japan, and United States, now they have posted on the Windows Store blog that 33 new countries would be added during the next Windows 8 major release which would be the RC version. Here are the countries which would be included in next release-

In an upcoming pre-release version of Windows, we’re expanding this list to include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and United Kingdom.

You can check the annual Windows store registration fees here where they have listed all the 38 countries including the mode of payment as well. Developers would also be able to submit the apps in 109 languages, 7 more than they could do so during consumer preview but the app should be available in one of the 12 app certification languages.

The blog post also states that they are no longer accepting new apps for the Consumer preview Windows apps, giving signs that we may see the release preview version soon.
