Windows 8 Metro style screenshots revealed

There has been lot of news that Windows 8 would have Metro style UI, a couple of images have surfaced showing the Metro style interface in Windows 8.The new style was seen in Windows 8 build 796X and wasn’t their in Build 795X.

Update: The screenshots have been removed, because of the request from the publisher of these screenshots, though reference to the Metro style can be found in the following logon screen as well

Windows 8 latest build, build 7973

We have just published yesterday that the latest Windows 8 build is build 7971, today the Chinese site win7china published that the latest build is Build 7973 with build string as 6.2.7973.0.110329. The build string states that the build was compiled on March 29.

They have also published another screenshot showing that when upgrading Windows 8 from Windows 7, the installation asks whether you would like to keep  accounts, programs and personal files or not.

Windows 8 complete upgrade screenshots leaked

Our friends at Winreview has posted lot of screenshots showing Windows 8 upgrade from Windows 7. This is the first time we are seeing Windows 8 being shown on the next version of Windows.The installation screenshots gives a Metro feel which should not come as a surprise as we have already seen Microsoft implementing Metro UI in most of the future products. Regarding the Windows 8 compatibility, winreview reads that all the systems capable of running Windows 7 ultimate should run Windows 8 easily.

Further adding to it, these screenshots belong to Build 7955 contrary to what some bloggers are reporting that it belongs to Build 7971.

Windows 8 installation screenshot leaked

We have earlier seen that Microsoft has released Windows 8 build 7971 to select OEM partners via Connect, probably which has been leaked to some guys. Recently our friend vlad62 has leaked the complete screenshot of Windows 8 upgrade from Windows 7. Here is the screenshot-

As some of the guys have already got their hands on this new build, it would definitely leak on the net soon.

Update: The screenshot belongs to Windows 8 Build 7955 and so probably build 7971 has not been leaked till yet.

First Windows 8 build 7900 setup screenshots leaked

The screenshots giving details about the Windows 8 Build 7900 has been leaked and seems to be genuine. The first screenshot is of the setup file of Build 7900 and the second screenshot shows the Digital signature which confirms the that the build is genuine. These screenshots states that the build 7900 has the old Kernel i.e 6.1 and was compiled on November 8, 2010

Post Windows 7 first screenshots, possibly Windows 8

Wzor has once again published a couple of screenshots for post Windows 7 build,build 7700,which may mark the beginning of Windows 8.As some of you might be unfamiliar, Microsoft usually start with the current version of Windows and the changes are reflected just in the build numbers.

The site further adds that Microsoft has compiled the following builds in January
