We are hours away from the public launch of Windows 8 and Windows RT along with the Surface RT tablet which is scheduled for 26th October and the integral part of the Ecosystem is Windows Store with Modern UI based apps and desktop apps listing.

We reported earlier last week that the Windows Store Crossed 5,000 apps and we predicted that by the time of the official public release the store will reach around 7,000 apps and as it turns out,the store has already surpassed that mark two days before the launch.

As reported earlier by WinAppUpdate on their twitter page,the store crossed 7,000 app mark yesterday.So the Store is definitely getting a serious developer attention and it is a good sign for the Ecosystem which is competing against the likes of iOS and Android which has a huge number of apps in their respective stores.
