On the day of announcement of the new Windows Phones with Nokia’s new Windows Phone announcement,Steve Ballmer made a Prediction about the Windows Phone 8 deivces and Windows 8 devices weeks before the official launch.

Steve predicted that,by next year there will be as many as 400million  Windows 8 /Windows Phone 8 based devices Will be there in the world.Counting  the Wndows 8,Windows Phone 8 and WindowsRT based devices including laptops,desktops,tablets and hybrids and of course the Windows Phones.

Considering  that Microsoft has the hold of the major PC market with their existing Windows 7 operating system,this is certainly a possibility with Surface tablets and the tablets and hybrids from other manufacturers,but the only concern is that  of the 400 million how much will be the share of Windows Phone 8 based devices?

Ever since  the launch of Windows Phone 7 a couple of years ago,there wasn’t any astonishing growth in the market share as compared to the other leaders like  android and iOS.So it will depend solely upon the new improved hardware specifications of Windows Phones and the new features which could save the day for the phones?
