RetroUI Bypasses The Modern UI to Bring Back Conventional Desktop on Windows 8

Good News For all those Windows 8 Start Screen haters out there, you can bring back your good o’l Desktop Interface back in Windows 8 with RetroUI.

Thinix recently released the RetroUI Tool for Windows 8,this tool allows the system to directly boot to the desktop  mode by skipping the Start Screen, users can then choose to use the Start Screen if needed. There is also an option for disabling some of the ModernUi features like Charm Bar,Hot Corners and Metro  Switchers.

It also has multi monitor support,so that the users will not have to use the default Modern UI Interface on one of the monitors,it also has support for Remote Desktop applications.

The  tool  costs 4.95$ which can be used for up to 3 Windows 8 based systems, with 50% special discount(on purchase of 500+ licenses)for non profit and educational organisations and it also comes with a 7 day fully functional trial version.Business users licenses start from 9.95$ per PC which gets as low as 4.95$ for 500+ systems.

/facepalm I buy the new Windows 8 and buy additional software to make it a Windows 7. *head desk* *desk head*

Yeah but you have to remember that the interface is not the only difference with Windows 8, nor is it a relatively significant reason to upgrade. The speed boosts, stability and overall lightness of the system is why I’m upgrading.

Yeah I agree, windows 8 is actually a great progression on win 7 – you don’t need to use the touch interface too much in vanilla 8 – i mean, it’s actually fairly easy with a mouse. Point is – it’s one click of a button (I remove all the metro apps personally) – let me repeat – one button and you’re on the normal desktop. Strange that people find that to be problematic.. Must be idiots or something.

not everyone wants a touch screen interface with no actual benefits on a desktop. Stop with your fanboi responses and actually think about it. Desktop users still want the desktop and the additional features of win8 outside of the new UI.
