As all of us know that along with the release of Windows 8 based devices which will run on the conventional x86 based processors while there will also be devices based on WinRT based devices running on ARM based processors.
Though Microsoft is trying every trick of the trade to make the WinRT platform a flawless one to make it optimized for the ARM processors, there are still some issues to be sorted out amongst the manufacturers and some of them are still hesitant about trying it out for their tablets. As we have reported earlier last week that HP will bring their first batch of Windows 8 tablets with the Wintel platform and no plans for initial ARM based processors for the tablets.
As reported earlier by CNET,Microsoft initially offered two slots for ARM device designs. So for three major ARM processor makers Nvidia,Qualcomm and Texas Instruments there were designs each, one of which was a Qualcomm HP based device which according to the recent announcement wont be a possibility for the first batch of devices.
So don’t be surprised if you see a limited number of ARM based devices at the launch, for those who are eager to buy an ARM based device should wait for the next year or should get the Surface Tablet from Microsoft.
