There it goes,it’s official.Microsoft has just confirmed the release dates for Windows 8.While the Manufacturers will get the experience first up with the Windows 8 RTM(Release To Manufacturing) by the First Week of August.

At the Worldwide Partner Conference Microsoft’s Tami Reller confirmed that the Windows 8 RTM is all set for release by the first week of august,while the public release will be on late October along with the release of the Windows 8 hardware.So we can expect the WinRT version of Surface Tablet and the tablets and laptops from other manufacturers like Dell,HP,Acer,Asus and Samsung by the end of October.

Those who prefer the Surface Tablets Pro version(featuring Intel processor) would have to wait 90 more days post the General availability ,since Microsoft has already confirmed that the Pro version will be released at a later date.Microsoft has already started offering details about the upcoming upgrade offers for Windows 8 Pro for as low as 39.99$ for all the users who own a Windows XP/Vista or Windows 7 license,the offer starts from the general availability till the end of January 2013.
