[Leaked] Windows 8 RTM Build 8518 Screenshots Reveals Some Changes

We are just a couple of weeks away from the Windows 8 RTM which is scheduled for First week of August.Its about time for some leaks and features to come up over the web.

Recently leaked screenshots of the Windows 8 RTM build 8518 courtesy Winunleaked reveals some last minute changes being made to the operating system.Some of the notable changes in this build is the Color option which was separately available in the previous versions for different color for Taskbar and the Windows.As you can see from the screenshots below there will be a single color for windows border and taskbar.

The new Internet Explorer 10 now matches to the Windows 8 theme which you have chosen.You can also note that the Tabs and the buttons of IE10 have been redesigned.

There are also 3 default themes for Windows 8,namely Windows,Earth and Flowers.

Last but not the least there’s the new Boot Screen logo with the new Windows 8 logo in Blue Color.

      If it will leaked, I hope! I think we will have to wait until a new leaked version is out there! Think of it! What where the leaked version of Windows 8 until now? It was Win 8 Developer Preview, Win 8 Consumer Preview and Win 8 Release Preview. I don’t think we will have a leaked version guys, that’s my opinion!

         there were many leaked builds before the DP ever came to light.  The highest leaked build was 7989 leaked by win7vista, thanks to an HP OEM person handing it to them.

          Good Point! I have been downloading random beta builds since Chicago aka XP, this is the first time its been to no avail! since the early pre DP builds anyways. heres hoping we get one for RTM but I doubt it to be heonest. maybe its time we just sit patient and actually pay for a copy of windows, after all its going to be cheap as chips and worth every penny

         Those were not leaked, they were released free to the public so no one will leak the dev builds. And guess what?, it worked! Not one leak (that I know of) since Dev Preview.

       That will never happen. Microsoft knows what is best for you. End users like you and I are too stupid to make our own decisions.

         If you think like that go to linux! It will be possible to change anything with mods (as long as you have admin permissions) in 8 just like any OS in the world, you just have to get your hands a little bit dirty. If you really want to have (easy) full control go to linux! Whenever I get a new computer I always install Ubuntu alongside windows and use both equally (as one can do some things better than the other and visa versa)

           I would use Linux as my only operating system if good commercial software ran on it. All it needs is the Adobe suite, the big Autodesk products (Max and Softimage mostly), ZBrush, and the Unreal Engine. Then it would be a much better alternative to Windows and OSX.
          Linux could also do with better hardware support… though this might be more up to the hardware developers.

             I understand that that you need high tech programs that wont work under WINE, I have Steam and Autodesk Inventor (soon to be only Inventor, Steam is moving to Linux) and those are the only reasons I dual boot.

            Currently Ubuntu does not have the correct drivers for my ATI Radeon card in my laptop but Minecraft is the only game I play in linux and that can easily run on the Intel HD3000 built into my i5 processor.

            This problem is solely due to ATI as they have made a Linux driver but it is so out dated that no one would think to use it (and it does not list which card works with it)

            So just dual-boot, Rythmbox beats Zune, Libre Office beats Microsoft Office, (Firefox beats IE) and so on and just go back to Windows when you need too.

        Putting an image on the Start Screen covers out 70 percent of the image! Why would you want to do that?!

           because the current background is ugly, and i have background images that will fit perfectly even though you can’t see it all
