Entry Level Surface Tablet Will Not Cost $1000

There are many speculations floating around the web about the upcoming Windows 8 operating system as well as the devices which it will run on.A month ago Microsoft announced the Surface Tablets which will feature Windows 8/WinRT operating system.

Though the pricing of the device is yet to be officially announced by the software giant, many of the blogs and sites are speculating their figures for the upcoming tablet.Yesterday one of the Swedish online store reported about an entry level Surface Tablet pricing to be around $1150 for the 32GB version of ARM based Surface Tablet.

But as reported earlier by Techie-Buzz  Author Paul Paliath, who reached out to the Webhallen. The site then cleared the air on the pricing which they showcased for Surface Tablets, saying that the existing pricing has nothing to do with the final pricing of the product, they set the initial pricing high for the pre orders and that when the official pricing comes out those who have pre ordered the Surface Tablets will get the prices adjusted to the actual costs that time.

So this statement from the site should now clear all the doubts about the pricing of Surface Tablets,at least what we do know that the entry level ARM based Surface Tablets  won’t cost your pocket a $1000,but you might see a higher price range for the Intel based Surface tablets running on Windows 8 Pro.

It is going to be $1000 at least, Microsoft thinks this is worth big money. They are wrong, but clever. People will fork over this ridiculous sum, and MS knows it (it worked for Apple). $1000 can get one such a nice desktop PC, but no, people want this silly step backwards, so they can take their “computers” with them whilst they spread STDs and do other modern homosexual socialite nonsense.

I donk even know how to respond to that?!

You know it is true. Unlike the vast majority of people, I can see right through the modern computing world… the modern world in general actually.

If I could, I’d delete this trash off this blog faster than you could say fu……

Look, I am not trying to start fights here. I understand most people disagree with me, but the internet needs at least one alternative voice. The Surface and Metro are serious steps backwards for users like myself who harness every drop of power from desktop PCs. We like keyboards with feedback, we like accurate pointing devices, and we like using our computers to produce things that require 12+GB of RAM, 8+ core processors, and lots of screenspace. Sure, maybe one day many years from now, Surface will have that power… but where could desktops be at that point? Far ahead, and there is no escaping Metro. Regardless of hardware, Metro, in its current state, is just useless.

You’re straight up wrong in nearly everything you wrote. Try again.

The Surface RT (which this article is about) won’t be anywhere near $1000. Microsoft already said it would be priced comparably to other ARM-based tablets in its range. There’s not a single one near $1000. We’re talking $500-600.

Microsoft doesn’t think this is worth big money. Microsoft knows exactly how the market works, and unlike Apple they don’t assume people are going to crawl all over themselves to hand Microsoft extreme amounts of money for the privilege of owning their products. They know they have to WIN BACK their market, and they can’t do that by being cocky about price.

This isn’t MEANT to replace a DESKTOP PC. It’s meant to be the ultimate mix of an Ultrabook and a tablet. If you want a desktop PC, you buy a DESKTOP PC. If you want an ultra-portable device, this is perfect. This isn’t the future of all computers, and Microsoft isn’t trying to MAKE it that. They’re trying to make it an example of the future of portable computers, and it seems perfect for that. Get a clue.

But the end of your last sentence suggests you’re just insane. So maybe I’m wasting my time on a troll.
