Asus Tablet 600:Asus’s First ARM based Windows 8 Tablet

It’s raining tablets as far as Windows 8 tablets is concerned.A few hours ago we reported about two of the Acer’s two tablets which were revealed at Computex namely Iconia W700 and Iconia W510,we are now hearing about the official announcement from another competitor in the Windows 8 Tablet business,Asus.

Asus has also revealed their first Windows 8 tablet which is happened to be their first ARM based i.e Windows RT based tablet in the offering.The Asus Tablet 600 is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core processor,sporting a 10.1″ display(1366×768 Super IPS+ panel),with 2GB or RAM and 32GB of storage capacity.It also sports a rear 8 megapixel camera  with LED Flash,along with a secondary front facing camera of 2 megapixel which will aid the video conferencing.

Talking about the connectivity features it will also come with Bluetooth 4.0,WiFi,NFC,GPS and it will also sport a detachable keyboard,which is quite similar to the one in Acer,which also sports a External battery as well as USB ports.

It would be an interesting battle between the ARM based Windows 8 devices and the conventional x86 based Intel and AMD based devices.It would be a tough ask to choose a price point which would lure the customers.
