We are just months away from the official launch of Windows 8 the successor to Windows 7 operating system from Microsoft and as we inch closer to the mega release,all the major companies are gearing up for the release of Windows 8,so that they can release their own version of hardware devices ranging from laptops,AIO’s,Tablets,Ultrabooks,Hybrids etc.
Acer,one of the biggest names in the PC industry has recently revealed their two upcoming Windows 8 based tablets during the Computex event.Namely Iconia W700 and the Iconia W510.

The Iconia W700 will be featuring a massive 11.6″ screen with Full HD resolution,it will support upto 10 fingers touch support,with the battery life of over 8 hours and 3 USB 3.0 ports ,micro HDMI for connectivity,also it includes Dolby Home Theater for enhanced audioit will also feature a 5 megapixel rear camera and a front facing camera for video conferencing.
The W510 would feature a comparatively smaller a standard 10.1″ display,it will also include a detachable chiclet keyboard dock that would double up as an extended battery which will further boost the battery life to upto 18 hours.It would also feature a SIM card slot, microSD, micro-USB and HDMI ports,while the keyboard dock will feature a USB 2.0 port along with a proprietary port.
The pricing details were not announced,but we can expect them in the coming months.
