Windows 8 Developer Preview available for download tonight at 8 PM PDT

Microsoft has today shown a whole new set of features at Build Conference today including the App store, Internet Explorer 10 Preview 3, XBOX Live integration. Above all Microsoft has announced that Windows 8 Developer preview would be available for download late tonight at around 8 PM PDT. Windows 8 Developer preview includes 64-bit (x64) build with development tools to build apps, and a 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) build without development tools. The releases also include a suite of sample applications.

We have seen some cool UI in the video earlier though Microsoft has posted on the Building Windows 8 blog that the developer preview wont contain App Store and Windows Live Metro style apps which they have shown in the video. HEre is what Microsoft posted-

The preview build does not include every feature shown this morning.  Shown but not in the Developer Preview release include the Windows Store, Windows Live Metro style apps, and some of the user interface features.  The focus of the preview is the API and development tools for building Metro style apps.

The download would be available at http://dev.windows.com at 8 PM PDT. We would keep you updated once it is available.
