Not good, not good at all!  If you’re going to put this on a touch type device such as a tablet, the interface may work out ok, but for a desktop or laptop with keyboard and mouse, I can’t see this “One OS fits this all” type deal working out in the end.

I want to sit back in my chair, not lean forward and have my arms out touching my screens!
and if I swipe the touch tiles away, whats the point of them being there?

Keep the two separate, windows 7 is great as is, it doesn’t need a huge improvement!

Same interface is still there… New videos are for NEW features.

Absolutely… BTW Does it support a normal keyboard and mouse? Even if it does it will be quite painful to swipe the tiles if u have hundreds of tiles on your screen!!! Its suitable for touchscreens only…

Anyway, Did u notice its homescreen is similar to that of Windows Phone 7???

Nothing interesting… just some stupid features that nobody will use.

  • Dvitiaz

My tv already does this! This is nothing new.

It brings huge advantages to businesses though dave, microsoft are very focused on business development worldwide.
To keep up with everyone else this os was needed, microsoft were way behind in the touch screen markets, and hopefully this should be quite enlightening.
The metro ui can be disabled from what i’ve read, and a normal keyboard can be used also, you don’t ave to use the on screen keyboard as standard.

Tell you what? I need some more screenschots to make aguess how it will be…
The Guys Have Put Only The Home Screen Screenshot.
Though Dave is right we can’t just comment by looking at a single screenshot……………………………….
