Windows 8 build 7971 to leak soon

There has been rumors that Windows 8 build 7971 would be leaked but we haven’t seen any public leaks till yet. Now the chinese site cnBeta is reporting that they have got the news that this build would leak soon. We have already seen three builds being leaked earlier- Windows 8 Milestone 1 Build 7850, Windows 8 M2 Build 7955, Windows 8 Server M3 Build 7959.

We have already reported that Windows 8 build 7996 has been compiled with build string as 6.2.7996.0.winmain.110429-1810  and hopefully the build list has gone past 8000 and Microsoft has started working on the Windows 8 beta stage.

According to our news, Microsoft is expected to show Windows 8 in WPC 2011 and would be released in late 2012.

      Does it really matter what build it is? Were not “suppose” to be even be able to be using these builds because were not “official” testers. Take it as they come. Beggars can’t be choosers. If your interested use it if not don’t its simple.

     but this build will not have the new ui. microsoft is not giving it out and will only integrate it in very late builds, probably near beta. so this is just windows 7.2 or 7.3 in terms of functionality

      You realize it may have a new UI but locked down, Microsoft soft can see it but we can’t as it’s locked away by hidden files. By the time of the Public Beta we’ll have way more than this. I doubt Microsoft would release just this as a new OS.

    alas, even if features are locked away we can still unlock them.  Those who persist on saying new builds are pointless obviously miss the point that features can be unlocked with ease and with each newer build, more features can unlock.
