Windows 8 complete upgrade screenshots leaked

Our friends at Winreview has posted lot of screenshots showing Windows 8 upgrade from Windows 7. This is the first time we are seeing Windows 8 being shown on the next version of Windows. The installation screenshots gives a Metro feel which should not come as a surprise as we have already seen Microsoft implementing Metro UI in most of the future products. Regarding the Windows 8 compatibility, winreview reads that all the systems capable of running Windows 7 ultimate should run Windows 8 easily.

Further adding to it, these screenshots belong to Build 7955 contrary to what some bloggers are reporting that it belongs to Build 7971.

You may check the full set of screenshots here-

@KnightlRD: the upgrading utility actually made a mistake here and it showed the wrong OS. This is acceptable though as Windows 8 is still in it’s early stages.

You can see that the screenshots are FAKE. I can see where they patched the text for Windows 8 using copy/paste…. look at the second screenshot where it says: GET IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR WINDOWS 8. It is like this in the following screenshots as well. Notice how it looks pixelated compared to the rest of the screen?? And if you look around it, you can see the border between where that text was clipped and pasted onto the screenshot. Meaning – IT IS FAKE. In the FIRST screenshot you can see where they pasted the top part of the “8″ …. and in the 7th screenshot it says “Windows Server 2008 R2″ where it should say Windows 8.

I know it is in its beta stages, but honestly…. you can tell these are fake screenshots. Nothing “leaked” here.. and I doubt anything will leak until Microsoft releases the beta download of Windows 8.

I’m happy with windows 7 64bit and don’t see any reason to change, Besides it cost me over $200 for this full retail copy.
