Windows 8 Beta forums launched,win Windows 7 Ultimate keys

Today we are launching Windows 8 Beta forums,where you can share your thoughts, creations related to the upcoming Windows Operating system or simply hang out and share news articles or ask doubts about other technology related stuff.

We would be giving away a Windows 7 Ultimate key each month (till we are out of keys,don’t worry we have lots of them) to the top contributor of the month and other stuffs (may be softwares, tshirts, DVD’s) to other contributors .So go ahead and start posting.

Update: The keys given in this giveaway are genuine keys and not from Technet and MSDN accounts.Top contributor of the month doesn’t means the person with highest number of posts, winners would be solely chosen based on the quality of posts.

    well i would love to have a feature button like ‘windows aero peek’ that allows me to instantly select a pic from a slider popping above the superbar set as a desktop background… similar to that of the picassa bottom thumb preview…

    I wish that they will include some kind of antimalware in the program, and lot of other programs like those included in a Mac……….. I also think that this Windows 8 plan is pure Mac ripoff!! Microsoft is copying Apple, and Apple is turning into Microsoft! The irony!!

    Also, what about those other computer brands? If they’re gonna add these features to Windows 8, it’ll be hard to migrate without a webcam.

    We can’t say anything how windows8 is going to be like. Because it is just started developing. Concepts is the beginning, some changes happens in the future and it changes the way people will think afterwords. Ex: like windows vista everyone bought them and then no one liked them because they are slow

      windows vista was something new to the public after a very long time. but windows 7 was better and came out quicker !!

    I really think being an avid gamer in South Africa that as long as the Operating System pro-forms at a top notch rate I would be happy.

    e.i. “I get really sick of having to open my task manager and shut down “explorer.exe” all the time because it is for no reason running @ 50k+ on my memory it should not go over 20k when the computer is idling, and if you can explain to me a logical reason why it is doing this then that would be great.”

    If someone wins Windows 7 ultimate key,we would be sending via email and if he isn’t the top contributor,would would be contacting the company providing them the winners name and email id and they would be sending the keys via email..

      If I wanted to install Windows 7 Ultimate with the key,
      is the company sent the installation DVD via postage

      send download links of Digital River servers via email and asks us to download the ISO file?

        Adrian we have the sealed packs,if you are located in India,we would have sent the DVD’s but if you are located somewhere else in the world,it won’t be possible to send the DVD’s because of custom taxes so you have to arrange yourself for the Windows 7,as we dont want the giveaway restricted to a particular region so we would be giving away the keys.

          Oh, that’s a pity.
          I lived in Malaysia and it would be better if can be posted to here.

          Because I don’t want to download the Windows 7 DVD ISO (my bandwidth limit is 5GB) as they takes up my bandwidth space!

    i thik that windws 8 should have its own 3d program so that any video ca be watched in 3d. i also think that windows 8 should be smaller in size and faster to use. for example, 3GB Ram processors dont work very fast with windows 7, because the RAM space is all taken up fast. also, having text scanners would be of plenty of use. it would be of great help.

    could anyone tell me the release date of windows 8 beta??

    I agree with the idea that all computers with known viruses be barred from internet until cleaned- how did office 2007 get through with so many clicks to do printing apparently they are going back to previous office

    they should ahve email and phone contact more for errors as windows page too complicated

    has anyone mapped virus incidence on computers?

    I would love to see my phone, zune & TV via XBOX 360 all be synced with my GUI theme– Simple, home wireless access to ALL my media on all my windows/ zune
    devices. Faster boot & shut down times. A more efficient filing system. It seems that my Doc’, Downloads, Pic’s, & Music should always go where I specify, no matter what program I use to create the file. But no matter what– let it be as stable or more so as Windows 7

    Just one comment. Whenever you install anything on your computer it maintains a record of the device and driver. Why don’t they include a device driver update utility? That would prevent conflicts based on outdated drivers. I feel like it should be included in the update software. Do you know how difficult it is to stay on top of all the device drivers in your computer? Right now I am dealing with a problem with my sound driver. It may also be possible to include chipsets and bios updates as well.

    What is Bill Gates on drugs ? Windows 7 is the best OS to date, and so many companies still using XP how come he wants to make yet another OS when people are not ready for the fist change which was Win7 ? Now he wants to create more anxiety by proposing yet another OS in Win8 that looks just like a MAC OS(I mean whats up with that ? In IE9 favs switched sides from left to right like MAC……what s that all about?). Leave perfection alone, Win7 is the best so leave the rest..

    Please improve the filing system of Windows Media Center. Currently Windows 7 lumps all of the music or videos into a group. I would like to be able to separate the media into lockable password protected folders. For example all adult content in a folder where the kids can’t inadvertently get to it. Thank You.

    Please stop putting developer software into retail boxes. clearly label the keys as development keys. I purchased what looked to be a sealed retail box with Windows 7 Ultimate. The certificate of authenticity label was intact and matched the label on the Microsoft website, the disks had all of the holographic images. The software loaded without a hitch and functioned for over a year. Yet one day the message came up that it was not a genuine windows installation. Way too late for me to return the software since a year had expired. Had I been notified on the packaging or during the installation process I would have returned the product and demanded my money back. Now I am out $250.

    widows 7 is what vista should have been running vista ultimate now missed free upgrade buy 2 weeks suck but thats all good hope windows 8 is better then vista when it first come out must have reloaded 4 or five times and it was just explorer crashing

    Everyone keeps asking for windows 8 on here……are you guys for real…I cant even afford a legal copy of xp…….and 98 isn’t getting any new drivers………I’m clearly not as fortunate as some ready for windows eight….if I can count to seven soon i’ll be on my way…
