In all honesty what’s changed? The user interface but underneath it all is the same base OS plumbing. Windows OS is so monolithic that it’s like years and years of code compounded on top of each other to provide maximum compatibility with the older Windows OS. I’d like to see Microsoft TRULY start over and create a new OS built around the concept of touch screen and a whole new way of interface with the PC.

Ubuntu has localizations for Hindi and Devnagiri script.
I am not too sure about Sanskrit (it’s a touch job) but for Hindi you are good to go right now …

I know I am suggesting a alternative OS, but once you try it, there is no looking back.

Switch to Ubuntu OS 10.10 ..
All problems solved … once for all ..

A small learning curve is there, as with any application, but once you are through it, everyday computing is a breeze.
